The Guxian Site

The Guxian Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Jining City.

The Guxian Site is located east of Guxian Village, Yandian Town, Yanzhou District, covering an area of approximately 40,000 square meters with a cultural deposit depth of about 1.5 meters. Collected pottery includes gravel-tempered gray pottery, gravel-tempered red pottery, and clay gray pottery, with decorative patterns mainly consisting of cord marks. Artifacts such as dou (food vessels), li (tripod cauldrons), guan (jars), and hu (pitchers) were found, dating back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Jining City in 2001. According to the Yanzhou Government Document No. 28 (2009), the protected area is defined with the marker stele as the center point, extending 200 meters east, 100 meters west, 300 meters south, and 100 meters north. The construction control zone extends 100 meters outward from the boundary of the protected area in all directions.

Yandian Town: Yandian Town is situated at the junction of Wenshang, Rencheng, the Jining High-Tech Zone, and Yanzhou, covering an area of 102 square kilometers. It administers four management areas and 66 administrative villages, with a population of 68,000, including 17,000 households, of which 65,000 are agricultural residents.

Yandian Town boasts significant transportation and locational advantages, abundant resources, and well-developed environmental infrastructure. The primary industry, agriculture, focuses on characteristic "planting, breeding, and processing" sectors such as meat ducks, chili peppers, and seedlings.
