The Ruins of the Glazed Tile Factory is a cultural heritage site protected by Jining City.

The ruins of the Glazed Tile Factory are located about 500 meters east of Liulichang Village, Jiujianniaoqiao Subdistrict Office, Yanzhou City, on both sides of the western bank of the Si River, covering an area of approximately 20,000 square meters. Legend has it that there were as many as 72 kilns, but currently only six sections of ruined kiln walls remain—five on the eastern side of the Si River and one on the western side. These remnants are made of bricks, arc-shaped, and constructed with refractory bricks, with diameters of about 3.2 meters. The inner walls feature a layer of red, iron-hard glazed material. A large number of broken clay roof tile fragments are exposed on the ground, with the tiles being relatively large—29 cm wide and 2.3 cm thick—and mostly coated with green glaze. Historical records indicate that this kiln site exclusively supplied building materials for the construction of the Lu Prince’s Mansion in Yanzhou and the Confucius Mansion in Qufu at the time. In October 2009, it was approved and announced as part of the third batch of cultural heritage sites protected by Yanzhou City by the Yanzhou Municipal People's Government. In November 2012, it was designated as a cultural heritage site protected by Jining City.

Jiujianniaoqiao Subdistrict: Jiujianniaoqiao Subdistrict of Yanzhou City was established in June 2008. It is located in the eastern part of Yanzhou City and has three rivers running through it—the Si River, the Xiaoyi River, and the Fu River—covering an area of 11.3 square kilometers. In 2012, it governed 13 administrative villages and 6 communities. By the end of 2013, the subdistrict had a total resident population of 32,899, including 21,285 permanent urban residents, accounting for an urbanization rate of 65%.
