Guxian East Site

The Guxian East Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jining City.

The Guxian East Site is located east of Guxian Village, Yandian Town, Yanzhou District, Jining City. It dates back to the Longshan Culture and the Shang-Zhou periods, and is classified as an ancient site.

On March 1, 2001, the Guxian East Site was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit of Jining City.

Yandian Town: Yandian Town is situated at the junction of four counties and districts — Wenshang, Rencheng, the Jining High-Tech Zone, and Yanzhou — covering an area of 102 square kilometers. It administers four management areas and 66 administrative villages, with a population of 68,000, including 17,000 households, of which 65,000 are agricultural residents.

Yandian Town boasts significant transportation and geographical advantages, abundant resources, and well-developed environmental infrastructure. The primary sector, agriculture, focuses on distinctive "crop cultivation, animal husbandry, and processing" activities such as meat ducks, chili peppers, and seedlings. The secondary sector, mainly food processing, adhesive tapes, chemicals, machinery, and construction materials, accounts for over 70% of the tertiary industry, and 90% of the local fiscal revenue comes from the secondary industry...
