The Guo Village Residential Buildings are a cultural relics protection unit of Jining City.

The Guo Village Residential Buildings are located at the Guo Village Supply and Marketing Cooperative in Xinyi Town, Yanzhou District, Jining City. Dating back to 1933, they are classified as modern-era important historical sites and representative architecture.

On November 27, 2012, the Guo Village Residential Buildings were designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit of Jining City.

Xinyi Town: Located about 20 kilometers northwest of Yanzhou District, Xinyi Town covers an area of 66 square kilometers and has a population of 50,179. It lies on the alluvial plain of the Yellow River, at an elevation of 30 meters, and features a temperate monsoon climate. The area is abundant in wheat, corn, silkworm cocoons, and scallions, and also has rich reserves of yellow sand and groundwater. Part of the land of Confucius and Mencius, Xinyi is one of Yanzhou’s most populous and expansive towns. With a relatively developed economy, it sits at a key crossroads among four surrounding counties and cities, enjoying a superior geographical location and well-developed transportation. All villages are connected by asphalt roads, with access to program-controlled telephones and cable television. The town is also known for its thriving sericulture and silk industry, earning it the reputation as the “Hometown of Silkworm and Silk.”
