The Birthplace of the Yellow Emperor is a cultural tourism attraction.

Located 4 kilometers east of Qufu City, Shouqiu is the birthplace of the Yellow Emperor, the founding ancestor of the Chinese nation.

Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty revered the Yellow Emperor as the progenitor and built the Jingling Palace here for worship. The palace consisted of 1,320 rooms, with jade-carved statues and imperial ancestral temple rituals used in ceremonies, making it the most ceremonially significant temple of its time. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in the late Yuan Dynasty. The site is now a park and is the largest stele park in China. The park covers an area of 37 mu, featuring twin towering steles and a pond reflecting them, with the nearby Shaohao Mausoleum to the north. Transport

Yellow Emperor (2717 BC – 2599 BC): Leader of the ancient Huaxia tribal confederation and the common sovereign of the Huaxia people in ancient China. He was the foremost of the Five Emperors and revered as the “Cultural Ancestor of China.” It is said that he was the son of Shaodian and Fubao, originally surnamed Gongsun, but later changed to Ji, hence known as Ji Xuanyuan. He lived on Xuanyuan Hill and was called the Xuanyuan clan, established his capital at Youxiong, also referred to as the Youxiong clan. He is also known as “Emperor Hong.”

Historical records state that the Yellow Emperor was given the title Huangdi (Yellow Emperor) due to the auspicious omen of earth virtue.
