China Han Painting and Stone Tablet Museum

The China Han Painting and Stone Tablet Museum is a cultural tourism attraction.

Jining City Central District Yellow River Culture Gift Shop draws on the thousands-of-years-old ethnic culture of the Chinese nation as its resource, uses cultural promotion activities as its means, and aims to promote Chinese national culture. Based in the hometown of Confucius and Mencius, it serves the land of Qilu and both domestic and international markets. After eleven years of development, it has developed eight major series comprising over two hundred products with distinctive cultural characteristics—such as Confucian culture gifts, Han culture gifts, Water Margin culture gifts, Canal culture gifts, boxwood carving culture gifts, voucher culture gifts, Fupai Lu Brocade, and a series of calligraphy and painting works by artists from the Holy Land. It also holds over twenty patented products, all of which possess unique cultural charm and offer functions such as collection, value preservation, and appreciation.

The China Han Painting and Stone Tablet Museum was established in 2005. The Yellow River Culture Gift Shop selected a portion of the thousands of Han paintings and Han stone tablet rubbings it had collected over the years to serve as a makeshift museum. The initial exhibition primarily featured items from the Qufu region—the hometown of Confucius and Mencius—located in Jining.

The exhibition focuses on four themes: First, "Half of China’s Han Stone Tablets Are in Jining"; Second, "The Tomb of King Rencheng, an Ancient Han Dynasty Repository of Writing"; Third, "Jining’s Han Paintings Rank First Under Heaven"; Fourth, "The Six Mountains Cliff Carvings, Essence of Cliff Art." Han paintings and stone tablets are treasures in the treasure house of Chinese culture and the crystallization of the wisdom of the laboring people of the Han Dynasty. Rubbings are traditional hand-rubbed handicrafts. Due to their profound cultural significance, they were ranked as the foremost collectibles during the Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties—golden ages for collecting.
