Fossil Valley

Located on the western side of Zuohua Mountain, the valley is 10–20 meters wide and 120 meters high, serving as the return route to climb Zuohua Mountain. The valley floor features many stone slabs with manganese oxide patterns resembling cypress tree branches—geologically termed “pseudofossils.” These formations are aesthetically pleasing and highly scenic. Large pieces are placed along the paths for visitors to admire, while smaller ones are processed and sold as tourist souvenirs.
