The site where Commander Zhu De convened a military meeting is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The site where Commander Zhu De convened a military meeting is located in front of the Hall of Worship in the Confucius Forest (Kong Lin) in Qufu, a place used for offering sacrifices to Confucius. From October 29 to October 31, 1950, Commander Zhu De held a meeting here with regiment-level and higher officers of the Ninth Corps of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. At the meeting, Commander Zhu delivered a mobilization speech for the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea. Shortly after the meeting, the Ninth Corps was deployed to fight in Korea and achieved remarkable military success. This meeting was an important military event in the early years of the People's Republic of China. As a result, the Hall of Worship in the Confucius Forest became imbued with revolutionary significance, exerting far-reaching influence both domestically and internationally. On December 22, 1977, the Shandong Provincial Revolutionary Committee designated it as a key cultural relic protection unit of the province.
