The Xizou Kiln Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

Xizou Kiln Site

(1) Location: Beixizou Village, Xizou Town, Qufu City.

(2) Protected area: 70 meters east, and 100 meters west, south, and north from the central coordinate point (35°33’38.0", 117°03’0.1").

(3) Construction control zone: 120 meters beyond the protected area.

Beixizou Village: Beixizou Village is located about one kilometer north of the Xizou Town government seat. A stele inscribed with "Confucius Wrote the Spring and Autumn Annals Here" stands in the center of the village. The village borders the Qufu East Station of the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway to the east, is traversed by Confucius Avenue to the south, and lies adjacent to the under-construction Binhe Avenue to the north. It enjoys convenient transportation and a prominent geographical advantage, and is part of the “2711” project as a village consolidated into the Xizou Community. The village has a total population of 1,801 and over 550 households, including more than 300 elderly people aged 60 and above, accounting for one-sixth of the total population.
