Xingtai Forest Park

Xingtai Forest Park is located in the northern suburbs of Xingtai City, bordered by National Highway 107 to the west, connected to the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway to the east, extending to the southern bank of the Baima River to the north, and reaching the North Third Ring Road of Xingtai City to the south.

The predecessor of Xingtai Forest Park was the state-owned Changxin Forest Farm of Xingtai County, established in 1956. It currently has a forested area of 5,580 mu, with a planned total area of 9,000 mu.

The park has a forest coverage rate of 80.7%, earning it the reputation of “a jade in the plains.” It boasts abundant flora and fauna resources, including over 140 species of woody plants from 38 families, nearly 160 species of wild animals, 3,952 mu of planted forests, 2,600 mu of nursery land, as well as more than 300 mu of water surfaces and wetlands. Major forest landscape features include a thousand-mu locust tree forest, a temperate botanical garden, a quality seed breeding nursery, and a fruit-picking garden.

With its forests, wild grasses, water bodies, and migratory birds, this urban “green lung” fosters harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
