The former site of the Dingtao Campaign Headquarters is located in Zhangwan Town, Dingtao County, dating back to 1946.

On June 23, 2015, the former site of the Dingtao Campaign Headquarters was designated as part of the fifth batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Zhangwan Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Dingtao County. In 1958, Xincun Commune was established; in 1979, 16 brigades encompassing 46 natural villages in the eastern part were separated to form Libentun Commune; in 1984, it was restructured as Zhangwan Township; and in December 1995, it was upgraded to Zhangwan Town. Located in the western part of the county, the town has the Dongyu River in the south and the Zhaowang River in the west. It covers an area of 34.5 square kilometers with a population of 26,000. The Liu (Kou)–Min (Quan) Highway and the Ding (Tao)–Huang (Ji) Highway intersect within the area.
