The famous Taoist mountain, Beiwudang

The famous Taoist mountain, Beiwudang, is located at the border between the southwest of Shahe City and Wu'an City. It is 50 kilometers from Shahe City and 75 kilometers from Xingtai City. As a renowned Taoist mountain in Xingtai, it earned the name Beiwudang (Northern Wudang) due to the presence of the Xuan Di Temple at its summit, which resembles the famous Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province but lies in the north. Beiwudang Mountain is mainly formed from red quartz sandstone of the Great Wall System. Due to cliff fractures and joint collapses, it features a striking main peak that stands abruptly with cliffs on three sides. The main peak rises 1,437 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak in Shahe City. With its majestic presence, unique pine trees, sea of clouds, serene pools, flowing streams, beautiful scenery, and lush vegetation, the area boasts a forest coverage rate of 80%.
