Hongshigou Leisure Eco-Farm is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Hongshigou Leisure Eco-Farm is located in Baita Town, Shahe City, Hebei Province. It is a large-scale comprehensive leisure resort that combines flower viewing, garden picking, rural cuisine, water recreation, vacation stays, farming culture experiences, parent-child education, outdoor adventure sports, RV campsites, and is primarily focused on leisure vacations, family activities, tourism, and seasonal fruit picking.

The park covers a planned area of 50,000 mu, with a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan. Currently, 25,000 mu have been developed, with 350 million yuan invested. The first phase of the park has officially opened to the public. The entire park has a green vegetation coverage rate of 95%, with well-developed infrastructure and service facilities. It includes a visitor service center, restaurants, sightseeing vehicles, service stations, medium and small meeting rooms, self-service barbecues, tent camping areas, RV holiday camps, and residential-style health resorts, providing convenient services for visitors.

A national-level transportation artery that runs through the urban area is only 25 kilometers away, offering convenient and accessible roads. The scenic area consists of the main Hongshigou site as well as attractions such as Guangyang Mountain, Qiquan Temple, and Hill 029. The area boasts beautiful scenery, a pleasant climate, and distinctive landscapes in all four seasons. In spring, mountain flowers bloom and fruit trees are fragrant; in summer, layered green hills and cascading waterfalls abound; in autumn, forests turn golden and fruits are ripe; in winter, snow blankets the land and waterfalls flow amid ice. It is an ideal destination for pastoral wellness and leisure vacations.

The scenic area is mainly divided into:

Flower Viewing Area: Covering 500 mu, the main flower varieties include verbena, cleome, dahlia, cosmos, and roses. Flower viewing begins in spring with peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, cherry blossoms, pear blossoms, hawthorn blossoms, plum blossoms, and rapeseed flowers, continuing until autumn. The scenic roads are lined with blooming flowers on both sides.

Water Recreation Area: With an investment of 5 million yuan, this area covers over 10,000 square meters and includes two standard swimming pools (25x60 meters each), one large water obstacle entertainment pool, one high-altitude water slide, and nine children’s water play pools. It can accommodate 2,000 visitors simultaneously and offers a wide range of water activities.

Green Ecological Food Picking Area: This area showcases modern agriculture’s pollution-free green breeding and cultivation, displaying the world’s most advanced organic farming techniques. It also features over 30,000 square meters of sunlit greenhouses and more than 3,000 mu of various fruit orchards available for year-round picking. From winter onwards, visitors can pick strawberries, apricots, cherries, peaches, mulberries, grapes, pears, apples, crabapples, walnuts, peanuts, sweet potatoes, and green vegetables, enjoying the charm of green ecological produce year-round.

The picking area is divided into two sections: the greenhouse picking zone offers strawberries, grapes, cherry tomatoes, and pollution-free vegetables, while the garden picking zone includes sweet peaches, nectarines, cherries, mulberries, apples, grapes, walnuts, and pollution-free vegetables. It is the largest and most diverse picking farm in Hebei Province. The picking season lasts from spring to autumn, with fruits available throughout. The entire picking area spans nearly 3,000 mu.

Holiday Leisure Area: Facilities include an RV holiday camp, tent camping area, and residential-style health resort hotel. There are also two main scenic walking paths, one wooden gallery path, two bamboo gallery paths, three flower sea paths, one valley hiking trail, two mountaintop observation decks, and one boat dock. These provide visitors with a comfortable and relaxing experience, allowing them to stroll through the countryside, walk hand-in-hand along tree-lined paths, enjoy beautiful pastoral views, breathe fresh air, be surrounded by fields, and sleep lulled by floral scents.

Rural Tourism Community: The rural tourism community includes a zoo, farming experiences, a natural science education park, and various scenic spots for visitors to enjoy. Animals such as peacocks, alpacas, turkeys, black goats, miniature horses, red horses, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, and more are available, along with horse riding activities. There are also large green lawns, offering excellent leisure and tourism services.

Baita Town: Baita Town is located in the mid-level hilly area of the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains in Shahe City, covering an area of 83 square kilometers. It governs 34 administrative villages with a total population of over 47,000, including 19,000 in the town area (17,000 agricultural residents and 2,000 non-agricultural residents). In 2015, fixed asset investment reached 2 billion yuan, with a total social output value of 3 billion yuan, per capita income of 9,006 yuan, and fiscal revenue of 120 million yuan.
