Qifengyan

Located on the banks of the Fengxi River at the edge of the Zaotou Basin, Qifengyan features seven towering peaks that rise abruptly from the ground. Beneath the main peak lies a cave, named after the surrounding seven peaks. The cavern is spacious and bright, capable of accommodating a thousand people. Outside the cave, each of the seven peaks has its own unique charm, with winding paths leading to serene spots, where ancient bamboo and trees provide dense shade, creating a veritable blessed cave heaven. The Ming Dynasty Grand Secretary Zheng Yiwei once visited this scenic spot and left inscriptions such as “...hills, valleys, rivers, and plains, ... descending into the distance, the wonder lies in one stone mending the sky” and “...wind, moon, snow, and sky, surging and sinking, vast as three thousand worlds.” A cycad planted during the Song Dynasty bloomed in 1949 and remains lush and vigorous to this day. Lush peaks, clear waters, peculiar rocks, and ancient trees form a delicate landscape that attracts a continuous stream of visitors.
