Ling Mountain Glass Walkway

The Ling Mountain Glass Walkway is located at the end of Huabiao Peak on Ling Mountain. Both the railings and the floor are made of double-layer laminated tempered glass. Situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters with a drop of 230 meters, it offers visitors a unique experience of the landscape. "The glass walkway is truly thrilling — it’s scary to even look down from beneath your feet. Brave visitors can come and give it a try!" The Ling Mountain Glass Walkway has been designed with user comfort in mind. Near the mountain face, there is a section of about 60 centimeters made of wooden planking, allowing those who are timid to opt for a safer walking path.

It is also reported that the glass walkway is part of the Five Elements Walkways of Ling Mountain. Starting from the cable car terminal station, the walkways pass by attractions such as Dongtai Peak, Huabiao Peak, and Tian Ti Peak, before eventually returning to the upper station to form a circular route. The total length is approximately 8,500 meters, with a width of 1.5–2 meters. Construction began in January 2013, and the entire network was completed in May 2014, featuring 24 viewing platforms in total. The design concept of the Five Elements Walkways is inspired by Taoist Wu Xing (Five Elements) theory, using the five colors black, white, yellow, red, and blue to correspond to the Taoist elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, thereby showcasing the religious and cultural heritage of Ling Mountain as a renowned Taoist mountain.
