Yang Weiyi (1897.4.16–1972.2.21) was an entomologist from Shangrao, Jiangxi. He graduated from Nanjing Higher Normal School in 1921. He served as a professor and dean at Jiangxi Agricultural College. He conducted specialized research on the classification of Hemiptera insects and the distribution of insect fauna in museums in China, France, and Germany. In the field of insect classification, he discovered more than 60 new species and genera, making significant contributions to the study of Hemiptera in China.
