The former site of the command and political department of the Red Seventh Army at Rifeng is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province and a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the temporary headquarters of the Red Seventh Army is located at Pan Family Mansion on Huangzhu Street in Rifeng Town, the county seat. In October 1932, the Headquarters and Political Department of the Central Red Army moved from Jianning to Huangzhu Street. On December 30, 1932, on the open Li Shuping field in front of Pan Family Mansion, the largest military parade and oath-taking ceremony in the history of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was held here. Over 70,000 officers and soldiers from the First, Third, and Fifth Red Armies, along with more than 10,000 workers and peasants, were reviewed by leaders of the Central Military Commission such as Zhou Enlai and Zhu De. On July 5, 1933, the Seventh Red Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was officially established, and Pan Family Mansion became its temporary headquarters. Xiao Jingguang was appointed as both the army commander and political commissar. To this day, slogans left by the General Political Department of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army on the walls of Pan Family Mansion, such as the “Ten-Point Program of the Communist Party,” remain vividly legible and well-preserved.

The former site of the Headquarters of the First Front Army of the Red Army is located at Dan Family Mansion on Huangzhu Street in Rifeng Town, the county seat. At that time, the over 10,000 officers and soldiers of the First Front Army were tasked with defending the northern gateway of the Central Soviet Area centered around Lichuan. Boosting morale and mobilizing the Soviet-area masses to participate in the resistance became important duties of the Red Army.
