Lotus Village Dinosaur Egg Fossil Site

The Lotus Village Dinosaur Egg Fossil Site is a cultural heritage protection site under the jurisdiction of Gao’an City.

The Lotus Village Dinosaur Egg Fossil Site is located in Xiangfu Town, Gao’an City, dating back to the Cretaceous period.

On December 24, 2012, the People’s Government of Gao’an City designated it as part of the fourth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units.

Xiangfu Town: Situated in the eastern suburbs of Gao’an City, Xiangfu Town borders the Jin River to the south, with National Highway 320 running through the town for 11 kilometers. It is 45 kilometers from Nanchang, the provincial capital, enjoying convenient water and land transportation. The town has a population of 22,903 and covers an area of 124 square kilometers. Originally established as a township, Xiangfu was upgraded to a town on June 28, 2001. It administers 14 village committees and 152 natural villages.
