      The 10th edition of the 2019 Tour of China International Road Cycling Race held its final two race days in Mingshan, Ya'an.

      Sichuan Province has been involved in hosting the Tour of China for eight consecutive years, and this year, Mingshan District of Ya'an joined the Tour of China family for the first time. In response, the people of Mingshan District showed great enthusiasm, delivering spectacular performances and enthusiastic cheers that amazed the Tour of China.

      Mingshan, Ya'an boasts a beautiful ecological environment and abundant tourism resources. It is home to Mengding Mountain, a sacred site of tea culture revered by tea lovers around the world, the vast and misty Baitang Lake, the willow-lined Qingyi Lake, and the emerald-green national-level ten-thousand-mu sightseeing tea plantation. Such a uniquely advantageous geographical environment has also laid a solid foundation for Ya'an to develop the integration of sports and tourism industries.

      With the arrival of the Tour of China in Mingshan, Ya'an, the district has begun innovatively promoting the "tourism +" cross-sector integration, with tourism + sports being a key component. Earlier this year, the Ya'an Municipal People's Congress voted to implement sports industry projects, actively organize high-quality sporting events, and establish Ya'an’s own flagship tourism and sports events to enhance Ya'an’s sports brand and achieve the integrated development of the sports industry and cultural tourism. As a leading district in Ya'an’s industrial integration, Mingshan District has responded enthusiastically by hosting various sporting events. In addition to the Tour of China, it has also organized events such as the Tea Plantation Charity Ride, greatly enriching the district’s public fitness programs, boosting the development of the sports industry in Mingshan and even Ya'an City, and driving progress in the tourism industry, thereby realizing the integration of sports and tourism industries.

      The profound culture nurtured in Shu land over millennia adds a sense of history to the Tour of China, and the enchanting scenery of the Land of Abundance makes the Tour of China reluctant to leave. With the successful multiple editions of the Tour of China in Sichuan Province, the province’s sports industry projects have become more diverse, driving the vigorous development of the cultural industry and further promoting the spread of Sichuan culture. In 2019, on the 10th anniversary of the Tour of China, we look forward to stepping into an even brighter future together with the Land of Abundance.
