The “Eight Hundred Caves Heaven” rock carving is located on a granite cliff at the mouth of Li Baibai Cave on the mountainside of Fuyun Mountain in Wanli Group, Hualin Village, Chian Town, Fengxin County. It is a rock carving from the Song Dynasty. Below the cliff face is a cave where the words “Eight Hundred Caves Heaven” are engraved in intaglio regular script, arranged in two vertical lines. Each character is 0.25 meters long and 0.2 meters wide. On the lower left, there are five lines inscribed: “Scholar Li Baibai from Shu secluded himself here since the Xiahou year of Wuxu; the great Song dynasty, the third year of Jiatai, 5836th year, inscribed by Min Jingzhong.” The cave is said to be the place where Li Baibai cultivated immortality. Li Baibai, whose real name was Changzhen, was from Shu (an ancient name for Sichuan). His birth and death dates are unknown.
