The Gate Tower of the Liao Clan Ancestral Hall is located at the Shaxi Neighborhood Committee, Fengchuan Town, Fengxin County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. It was originally built during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty and renovated in the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty. This gate tower complex consists of three sections, built with brick and stone, facing south and situated to the north. The foremost is the main gate, which is 7.5 meters wide and 8.925 meters tall in total, featuring four pillars, three gates, and three stories. Above the gate entrance is embedded a bluestone plaque inscribed with characters such as “Liao Clan Ancestral Hall.” The two side gates are adorned with carvings of figures, flowers, pine trees, and cranes. Four stone lions are placed in front of the gate, though their current condition is poor. The walls on both sides have been destroyed, but the gate tower itself remains relatively well-preserved. The Gate Tower of the Liao Clan Ancestral Hall reflects the customs of ancestral hall construction during that period, providing valuable insights into the architectural style of the gate towers of the time and the development of the Liao clan.
