The Longtoushan Site is located 250 meters northeast of Pingshang Group, Hongchuan Village, Ganzhou Town, Fengxin County. It is a site from the Neolithic Age and the Shang and Zhou periods. The city layout is well-preserved, covering an area of approximately 24,000 square meters, with a cultural layer about 1 meter thick. To the north of the site, remnants of an earthen city wall remain, standing 3 meters high, 3 meters wide, and stretching 300 meters in length. The walls to the southwest and west can still be clearly identified. Artifacts collected include pottery fragments—Neolithic pottery mainly consists of sandy red and sandy gray pottery, with identifiable shapes such as tripods, while stone tools include axes and arrowheads. From the Shang and Zhou periods, pottery is mostly sandy gray pottery and stamped hard pottery, featuring decorations such as S-shaped patterns, mat patterns, cloud-thunder patterns, vortex patterns, variant cloud-thunder patterns, and diamond-shaped raised dot patterns. Identifiable artifacts include li tripods and yan-shaped vessels, with stone tools such as adzes and axes. The Longtoushan Site is generally well-preserved and holds significant research value for studying the politics, economy, and culture of the time.
