The ruins of the Garrison City from the Five Dynasties Period

The ruins of the Garrison City from the Five Dynasties Period are located in Wujia Village, Jiebu Town. It was a city site of the Wu Kingdom during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, covering an area of approximately 100,000 square meters. Remnants of earthen city walls still exist within the site.

According to the revised Xingan County Annals compiled in the ninth year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty, in the seventh year of the Tianyou era of the Wu Kingdom during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period (910 AD), Yang Longyan established the state of Wu. Yan Keqiu, the judicial commissioner of the Huainan military governorate, proposed the establishment of a supervisory office. As a result, a city was built in Xin Gan, and a garrison city was set up on the opposite side of the Gan River in Hutian Wujia Village. It holds certain value for the study of the history of the Wu Kingdom during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period (907–979 AD).
