So cool！Japan’s Shinkansen unveils an Evangelion-themed train

The classic Japanese anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion" (EVA) is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and the Sanyo Shinkansen has specially launched the "Shinkansen: Evangelion Project," introducing an Evangelion-themed train, the "500 TYPE EVA," which is expected to meet the public starting November 7. The news has attracted the attention of Evangelion fans from around the world, and the official release has also unveiled interior photos of the train for everyone to take a sneak peek.

The Evangelion-themed train "500 TYPE EVA" is conceptualized around the battle robot "Unit-01" from the anime. The train features the classic purple and green color scheme, with a sleek and stylish streamlined body. Inside the carriages, in addition to displays of Evangelion-related models, posters, and photos, the overall space is infused with full Evangelion style — including hallway doors, seats, and floors all printed with the "NERV" logo. Even the first carriage features a life-sized cockpit, allowing passengers to enjoy an immersive experience as if they were inside the anime.
