To celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary, Disney collaborated with Japan’s JR Kyushu to create the Mickey Shinkansen, which began operating in May, and in August, Minnie joined in to debut the Mickey & Minnie Shinkansen！

The Mickey Shinkansen began service on May 17th, featuring an eye-catching yellow exterior paired with the lovable image of Mickey Mouse. Whether on the outside of the train cars or the seat headrests inside, Mickey’s presence can be found everywhere.

And from August 1st to November 27th, the section of the Kyushu Shinkansen between Hakata and Kumamoto to Kagoshima-Chuo will be replaced by the Mickey & Minnie Shinkansen, with the train exterior transformed into a full red Minnie-themed livery.

Mickey can also be spotted inside the stations.
Thoughtful JR has gone beyond the cute train designs—setting up super adorable Mickey photo walls at 16 JR Kyushu stations, allowing fans to take photos with Mickey as keepsakes.

The 16 Mickey photo spots on the Kyushu Shinkansen: Hakata, Shin-Tosu, Kurume, Chikugo-Funagoya, Shin-Omuta, Shin-Tamana, Kumamoto, Shin-Yatsushiro, Shin-Minamata, Izumi, Kagoshima-Chuo; on the conventional lines: Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Miyazaki, etc.
