Weimo Bridge

Weimo Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Xin Gan County.

Weimo Bridge is located in Chengtou Village, Taoxi Township, and is an ancient path leading down to the stream. It is also known as "Aipo Bridge." According to the 1870 revised edition of the Xingan County Annals from the ninth year of the Tongzhi reign in the Qing Dynasty, Weimo Bridge was built in the 23rd year of the Qianlong reign (1758). It was repeatedly repaired and fell into disrepair over the years until the fourth year of the Xianfeng reign in the Qing Dynasty (1854), when Li Xuekong and others initiated its reconstruction, resulting in the three-arch, two-pier stone bridge seen today. This bridge has three arches, with red stone slabs on both sides of the deck and flagstones laid in the middle. Between the flagstones and red stones, vertical rows of flagstones are installed. The total length of the bridge is 33 meters, with a width of 3.4 meters. Each arch is 3.2 meters long. There are approach ramps at both the northern and southern ends, measuring 100 meters and 8 meters respectively. At the northern end of the bridge, there is also a one-meter square spillway culvert, contributing to the overall stability of the structure. With its long history and unique design, this bridge is the earliest in Xin Gan County to feature a spillway culvert design.

In 1984, it was designated as a county-level key cultural relic protection unit by the People's Government of Xin Gan County.
