Changpai Tongjin Bridge

Tongjin Bridge is located in Changpai Village, Jiebu Town, and has a long history. According to the 1870 revised edition of the Xin Gan County Annals from the ninth year of the Tongzhi reign in the Qing Dynasty, in the sixth year of the Tian Shun era (1462), local gentry discussed raising funds to build a bridge. Their proposal received positive responses, and construction began in February, finishing in November of the first year of the Chenghua era (November 1465). The bridge was built with bluestone arches, stretching 28 meters in total length and 4.38 meters in width. Each arch is 2.8 meters long, and there are three arches in total, with two stone piers built in the center to break the water flow. The bridge piers were slightly damaged originally but were restored to their original form by Changpai Village in 1976. The bridge is now well-preserved.

In 1984, it was designated as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit by the Xin Gan County People’s Government.
