Yongnianwa National Wetland Park

Yongnianwa is located in Yongnian District, Handan City, and is the only inland freshwater wetland in the southern part of our province. Relying on water supply from the Fuyang River and rainwater accumulation, the area remains water-covered year-round, with depths reaching over 4 meters at its deepest point. It is the third-largest depression in North China after Baiyangdian and Hengshui Lake. The average elevation of the land surface is 41 meters, and the water quality is excellent, with dense reed beds and fragrant lotus flowers. It is praised by people as the “Little Jiangnan of the North” and the “Second Baiyangdian.”
