Also known as Yangsimu, Yangshimu is located at the border of Anfu's Taishan and Zhangzhuang townships. It can be accessed from the easternmost part of Luxi County, which is 58 kilometers from Pingxiang City, as well as from Yichun City. To the east, Yangshimu is adjacent to Mingyue Mountain, to the west it connects with Fayunjie, to the south it reaches Wenjiashabian Village in Taishan Township of Wugong Mountain, and to the north it borders Wanlong Qiankun Dian. Stretching from east to west, its main peak stands at an elevation of 1,670 meters. Yangshimu is the sister peak of the Golden Summit of Wugong Mountain in Jiangxi Province. The mountain enjoys well-preserved vegetation, with exotic and rare trees such as welcoming pines found everywhere, and rugged, unusual rocks visible in all directions.

Clouds, sheep, noon lions, and silver screens appear, while distant views show stone bamboo shoots hanging like lanterns. Peaks over 1,500 meters stand tall and rugged, each with its own unique scenery and ever-changing atmosphere. Different geological formations and climatic influences have created vastly diverse landforms among peaks that are all within the subtropical zone. There are grasslands, stone bamboo shoots, rare pines, and peculiar bamboos, all emerging and disappearing amid the sea of clouds, becoming magnificent and spectacular under sunlight, displaying a thousand different forms. Bottomless valleys and ravines, along with waterfalls cascading from the sky, make one feel as if they are in a fairyland. With peaks, water, stones, pines, clouds, bamboos, and tea all around, you feel as though you are wandering inside a painting.

Through the ages, the green mountains remain timeless. Yangshimu has slumbered for countless millennia, and as time flies, she has only grown more majestic and beautiful. During the Ming Dynasty, the area was renowned for its high-quality green tea, which was presented as a tribute to the imperial court. In the Qing Dynasty, the Shen family from Luxi cultivated Pingshu (a type of herb) on Yangshimu, which became widely famous and was sold as far as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, infusing this magical land with “miraculous energy” and further enhancing Yangshimu’s renowned reputation. Today, she continues to surprise and enchant the world with her graceful beauty, towering elegance, and natural charm.

Transportation

Located within the Wugong Mountain Scenic Area, there are many entrances to Wugong Mountain. The main gate is accessible only from Ji’an Anfu and Pingxiang Matian.

1. Pingxiang – Wugong Mountain

① Buses from Pingxiang South Station to Wugong Mountain pass through: Gaokeng, Luxi Shawan, Sankouyan Reservoir (the Martyrs' Cemetery of Lu Deming), Xinquan, Matian, and finally arrive at the Wugong Mountain Golden Summit Cable Car Ticket Office.

Departure times: every day from 6:00–16:50, every 20 minutes, with additional services during holidays based on passenger flow. (Ticket price is 18 RMB per person, and the journey takes about 1 hour.)

② Visitors arriving by train to Wugong Mountain can get off at Pingxiang Railway Station and then take the express bus from the long-distance bus station at the station entrance directly to Wugong Mountain via Xihai Hot Springs and Fayunjie. (The full fare is 22 RMB. Operating hours are 5:40–17:00, with a bus every 20 minutes or so.)

2. Ji’an Anfu – Wugong Mountain (distance: 45 km)

① After arriving by train in Ji’an, there is a bus at 6:30 that goes directly to Wenjia, arriving at Wugong Mountain Hot Spring Resort after 10:00 AM, and returning to Ji’an Railway Station at 1:00 PM. One trip per day. Ticket price: 25 RMB.

② Buses from Ji’an to Anfu run every half hour, ticket price: 15 RMB; from Anfu to Hukeng Town (passing through Taishan Township), buses run every half hour, ticket price: 10 RMB.
