Situated between the county town and Anfu Railway Station, the park borders Wugongshan Avenue, the main road of the county, to the west, Anfu Railway Station to the southwest, and the perennially flowing Lushui River to the north. It lies within a low mountain and hill region and features a subtropical monsoon humid climate, with mild weather, plentiful rainfall, sufficient sunlight, and rich soil—conditions ideal for the growth of various plants. The vegetation mainly consists of natural forests such as Masson pine and mixed coniferous-broadleaf forests, along with species like cypress, osmanthus, sweet gum, and Schima superba. The planned area of the forest park spans 800 acres, with Phase I covering 400 acres and Phase II another 400 acres. The project aims to integrate the area’s excellent forest ecological environment, fully utilize its leisure and tourism resources, ensure scientific conservation on the existing foundation, implement rational planning, and develop the site moderately. With a focus on providing artificial leisure and tourism opportunities, the goal is to gradually enhance economic, ecological, and social benefits.

Covering a total area of 78.2 square kilometers, it includes 28,725 acres of arable land, 53,100 acres of forested land, and a population of 76,000. The town administers 19 administrative villages, 155 villager groups, and 142 natural villages. Within the town are historical and cultural sites such as the Confucius Temple, Dongshan Literary Pagoda, Dongyuan Pavilion, and Lianfang Nunnery.
