Yuyan Mountain Pagoda

Yuyan Mountain Pagoda is a cultural heritage protection unit of Anfu County.

Yuyan Mountain Pagoda is located in Beishan Village, Zhouhu Town, Anfu County.

In March 2011, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of cultural heritage protection units in Anfu County. (Anfu Government Document [2011] No. 29)

Protected area: 10 meters in all directions around the pagoda itself.

Construction control zone: an additional 10 meters extending outward from the protected area.

Zhouhu Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Anfu County. It is a major southern town in Anfu and a primary grain-producing area. In 1950, it comprised 10 townships including Zhouhu, Wangtun, and Baizhang. In 1958, these were merged to form the Zhouhu People’s Commune, which became a township in 1984 and was upgraded to Zhouhu Town in 1992. Located in the southern part of the county, the town government is seated in Zhouhu. It lies 29 kilometers from the county seat, covers an area of 180 square kilometers, and has a population of 37,000. The town is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with flat farmland to the east. The Chen River, the Fen-Yi to Wen-Zhu Railway, and the provincial road from Anfu to Yongxin pass through the town area.
