Dingnan Mingjun Jiuzhou Eco-Health Tourism Resort is situated by the Jiuzhou River in Tianjiu Town, Dingnan County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It is adjacent to the Gan-Guang Expressway and Provincial Highway Ding-Guang (section), with a provincial secondary road providing direct access. The resort is about 18 kilometers from Dingnan County. It is a comprehensive eco-tourism resort integrating sightseeing, tourism, conferences, leisure, and health retreats. Established in August 1999 and approved thereafter, it was officially designated as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction in 2009.

Jiuzhou Resort was the first large-scale resort in China integrating eco-health, leisure tourism, and sightseeing entertainment. It was invested and built in December 1998 by Jiangxi Mingjun (Hong Kong) Industrial Co., Ltd. After evaluation by the National Tourism Attractions Quality Rating Committee, on February 1, 2009, the National Tourism Administration officially announced that Jiuzhou Resort met the standards of a national 4A-level tourist attraction and was approved as such.

Jiuzhou Resort enjoys a superior location and convenient transportation. The resort is located by the Jiuzhou River in Tianjiu Town, Dingnan County, Jiangxi Province, 18 kilometers from the county seat, 320 kilometers from Shenzhen, and 338 kilometers from Guangzhou. It is known as the “back garden” of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Jiuzhou Resort features beautiful mountains and clear waters, with fresh air. The Jiuzhou River is the source of the Dongjiang River. Nestled against the mountains and by the water, the resort covers an area of nearly 3,000 acres, with forest coverage reaching 80%. The average annual temperature is around 19°C, the relative humidity is 75%, and the negative oxygen ion concentration exceeds 100,000 per cubic centimeter — 50 to 100 times higher than in cities — making it a natural “oxygen bar.”

Jiuzhou Resort boasts picturesque scenery and complete facilities. Key attractions include Wangjiang Pavilion, Tongxin Tree, Health Lake, Thousand-Meter Valley, Dongjiang Waterfall, river rafting, bell tower, children’s amusement park, piglet performances, Jiuzhuan Xiangsi Path, and Hakka enclosed houses. Each site incorporates the concept of eco-health, blending artistry with natural harmony. There are uniquely styled Hakka stilted buildings, Qingfeng Restaurant serving pollution-free green food, a barbecue area, open-air bonfire venue, leisure health and entertainment center, and conference reception center, making it an ideal place for leisure, health, recuperation, vacation, and work.

Scenic Guide

The overall planned area of the resort is 52 square kilometers, with the core area covering 16 square kilometers. This is a state-designated pollution-free and harmless Dongjiang River Source Protection Zone. It consists of dozens of peaks and valleys along the Jiuzhou River from Jiuzhou Village and Taixi Village in Dingnan to Longchuan in Guangdong, stretching over 20 kilometers, forming the core protected zone of the Dongjiang River Source. Leveraging regional advantages, the resort uses natural conditioning as the foundation of health care. By reorganizing the meaning and awareness of health, it constructs a comprehensive health service design centered on the biological ecosystem, offering visitors high-information, high-participation, high-insight, high-enlightenment, and high-quality eco-health services. The unique nine major eco-tourism conditioning projects fully convey the new concept of eco-health tourism and integrate this concept into the interplay of natural and cultural landscapes, while respecting natural heterogeneity and harmoniously showcasing the resort’s main style and functions. The “Core Scenic Area” mainly includes mountain valley waterfalls, Yingyuan Valley, Hakka enclosed houses, forest combat camps, Jiuzhou Water Corridor, and the Red People’s Commune, among other key mountain-water scenic spots. These highlight the characteristics of natural ecology, pastoral water towns, folk landscapes, and eco-health in their construction. The “Yitian Mountain-Water Villa Area” includes mountain-water villas, the Yitian Women’s Club, and the Forest Auto Club, among other leisure communities. These are built strictly in accordance with the requirements of an eco-tourism resort.
