Xiaoyedong Forest Farm was established in November 1954, originally named Jiangxi Xiaoyedong Forest Farm. In 1959, it was renamed Quannan County Xiaoyedong Forest Farm. Located 14 kilometers from the county seat, the forest farm covers a total area of 226,700 mu. It has been awarded the title of “Top 100 Forest Farms in China” for many years and is known as the “Jewel of the Green Sea.” The forest boasts stunning scenery and a pleasant climate. From the high vantage points, you can see layers of peaks, serene mountains, and clear waters, along with occasional sightings of groups of wild animals and rare tree species seldom seen elsewhere. The Xiaoyedong Tianpai Observation Deck is situated on a mountain peak over 1,400 meters above sea level. From the deck, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the landscapes of both Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces, as well as the scenery of six counties and one city.
