Yaxi Walled House is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Jiangxi Province.

Located in Yaxi Village, Longyuanba Town, Quannan County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, Yaxi Walled House is one of the finest examples of Hakka walled houses in southern Jiangxi. Built during the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty (around 1885 AD), it currently consists of two types: a stone-walled house and an earthen-walled house, covering a total area of 1,010 square meters.

The earthen-walled house in Yaxi Walled House has three stories, with 17 rooms on each floor. It is 29.8 meters long, 20.2 meters wide, and 10.4 meters high, covering an area of about 800 square meters. The main gate has two levels and is equipped with fireproofing facilities. The stone-walled house is square-shaped, standing 12 meters tall and covering an area of about 410 square meters. It faces west and is backed by hills while adjacent to water. Its underground drainage system is well designed, featuring the traditional "four waters converging into the hall" layout. The main gate is built with stacked stone slabs, and the three-layered entrance is fortress-like in strength. The four floors of the walled structure are made of brick and wood, with the outer walls constructed from a mixture of lime, clay, and pebbles. The walls and watchtowers are equipped with gun ports and observation holes. Inside, there is a sweet-tasting well that provides cool water in summer and warm water in winter. The walled house is both defensive and offensive in design. The left side of the main gate was originally inscribed with the words “Constructed by Chen, a Scholar with Imperial Examination Honors.”
