Quannan Taojiang National Wetland Park

Quannan Taojiang National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Quannan County’s Taojiang National Wetland Park is located along the Taojiang River in Nanzheng, Jinlong, and Chengxiang towns. The park spans the Longxing Reservoir, Hutoubu Reservoir, and the forested areas and water bodies within these reservoirs, as well as the Xian’nüpo Reservoir and the water areas and floodplains of the Taojiang River that connect the three reservoirs.

In recent years, our county has fully leveraged the advantages of its natural and landscape resources, striving to develop the Quannan wetlands into a typical riverine wetland park in the region neighboring the Jiulian Mountains, serving as an urban scenic area, a drinking water source for the county seat, and a conservation base for the forest and biodiversity of the Nanling Mountain area. The county has actively carried out comprehensive management of the planned area, intensified ecological restoration efforts in the wetlands, and invested substantial funds in reinforcing and greening the riverbanks and slopes in the urban section. Currently, the infrastructure of the wetland park is beginning to take shape.

The planning and construction period for Quannan County’s Taojiang National Wetland Park is six years. The implementation of this project is of great significance for our county in executing the “Three Major Strategies,” advancing the “Five-Zone Construction,” and establishing itself as an ecotourism destination on the border of Jiangxi and Guangdong.
