The Pinggang Mountain Revolutionary Site is a cultural heritage site under the protection of Quannan County and a classic red tourism destination.

The Pinggang Mountain Revolutionary Site dates back to 1936 and is located in Pinggangshan Village Group, Neiban Village, Shejing Township, Quannan County.

On December 4, 2018, the Pinggang Mountain Revolutionary Site was designated as part of the third batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Quannan County.

Protected area: an extension of 5 meters outward in all four directions—east, south, west, and north.

Construction control zone: an extension of 5 meters outward in all four directions—east, south, west, and north—from the protected area, with a maximum construction height of 8 meters.

Shejing Township: Located at the northernmost tip of Quannan County, Shejing Township borders Nanxiong in Guangdong, Chongxian Township in Xinfeng County, Beitou Town, and Longxiatown within the county. It sits at the confluence of the Huangtian River and Taojiang water systems and is also the lowest-altitude area in the entire county. It is 65 kilometers from the county seat. In 2001, following the consolidation of townships (and towns), the former Shangjiang Township and Shejing Township were merged into the current Shejing Township. The township now covers a total area of 120 square kilometers, including 160,000 mu of forested land and 10,752 mu of arable land.
