Jade Rock Cave
Jade Rock Cave is located on the eastern bank of the Tao River, 3 kilometers north of Longnan County. Remarkably white and jade-like, it rises abruptly from the flat land, “towering spectacularly by the great river.” Within the rock is a vast natural karst cave, known as “Yuxu Cave.” There is a circular opening in the cave ceiling, like a jade mirror hanging high above. The cave features a variety of stalactites, stalagmites, and stone formations in countless shapes—some resembling flowers, birds, insects, and fish, others like birds and beasts, all exquisitely lifelike and delicately beautiful. Stepping inside feels like entering a vibrant, colorful world.
Transportation It is 20 kilometers from Magutang Town, Longnan County. You can take a minibus from Magutang Town to Hongyang Village, with a fare of 8 yuan.
