Ganzhou’s Xiaoyedong Forest Farm was established in November 1954, originally named Jiangxi Province Xiaoyedong Forest Farm. In 1959, it was renamed Quannan County Xiaoyedong Forest Farm. Located 14 kilometers from the county seat, the forest farm covers a total area of 226,700 mu and has been honored as one of China’s “Top 100 Forest Farms” for many years,

earning the reputation of being a “Pearl in the Sea of Green.” The forest features beautiful scenery, a pleasant climate, and from its heights, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of rolling peaks, serene mountains, and clear waters, often spotted with groups of wild animals and home to rare and little-known tree species. The Xiaoyedong Tianpai Watchtower sits atop a mountain peak over 1,400 meters above sea level. From the watchtower, visitors can take in the breathtaking views across both Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces, showcasing the charm of six counties and one city.
