Qianxin Town

Qianxin Town is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The ChanTown Scenic Area in Longnan is located in Dongkeng Village, Lintang Township, Longnan County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. The entrance to the scenic area is situated along National Highway 105, approximately 13 kilometers from the Longnan South exit of the Da-Guang Expressway and 26 kilometers from Longnan Railway Station.

The Qianxin Town Scenic Area in Longnan is situated at the edge of the Jiulian Mountain range, with an average elevation of 600 meters. It boasts 100,000 mu of bamboo forests and 10,000 mu of organic tea plantations, offering up to 110,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic meter. The scenic area includes four core zones: Cherry Blossom Valley, Mirror Heart Lake, Mu Xin Valley, and Qianxin Courtyard. Major attractions consist of an observation deck, the Qian Tea Culture Museum, earthen-oven chicken stalls, tofu skin workshops, oil pressing workshops, and distilleries. With a total planned area of 100,000 mu, it serves as a comprehensive leisure and resort destination integrating Qian tea culture, sightseeing, vacationing, health retreats, business conferences, agricultural products, traditional crafts, and hands-on farming experiences.

Observation Deck

The Observation Deck is located atop the central tea mountain within the Qianxin Town Scenic Area in Longnan, spanning about a hundred meters in width. Below the deck, ancient paths wind around.

Qian Tea Culture Museum

The Qian Tea Culture Museum is situated in the center of the Qianxin Town Scenic Area in Longnan. The museum combines exhibitions, shopping, and tea tasting, showcasing a historical wall dedicated to Qian tea, its connection with notable historical figures, the origins of Qian tea, poetry about Qian tea, varieties of Qian tea, and its heritage.

Earthen-Oven Chicken Stall

The Earthen-Oven Chicken Stall is a building styled after classic Song Dynasty mountain dwellings. It can be reached by walking down the wooden long bridge from the tofu skin workshop. Inside the stall are several earthen ovens, built with special bricks that emit a unique earthy aroma, and the oven chambers maintain a constant temperature of 800 degrees Celsius.

Tofu Skin Workshop

The Tofu Skin Workshop is located in the center of the Qianxin Town Scenic Area in Longnan, to the left of the Earthen-Oven Chicken Stall. Visitors here can observe and experience the entire traditional handmade process of making tofu skin.

Oil Pressing Workshop

The Oil Pressing Workshop is a traditional workshop for producing handmade camellia oil. At its entrance stands a large waterwheel, which powers the crushing of camellia seeds placed in stone troughs. The crushed seeds are then steamed in a rice steamer for about 1.5 hours before being wrapped in straw into oil cakes and placed into the press. The oil is extracted by ramming with a pestle. The entire process strictly follows traditional methods using physical techniques without additives. Visitors can not only watch this ancient oil-pressing craft, which has been preserved for over two thousand years, but also participate in the pestling process themselves.

Distillery

The Distillery is built in the style of a Hakka circular house. After crossing the bridge, the left side houses the liquor fermentation tanks, while the right side features the Hakka rice wine brewing area, display section, and tasting-rest area.

In January 2018, the Qianxin Town Scenic Area in Longnan was rated as a Jiangxi Provincial AAAA-level Tourist Attraction by the Jiangxi Provincial Tourism Development Commission.

Admission

The admission fee for the Qianxin Town Scenic Area in Longnan starts at 40 RMB per person.

Transportation

The entrance to the Qianxin Town Scenic Area in Longnan is 13 kilometers from the Longnan South exit of the Da-Guang Expressway, 26 kilometers from Longnan Railway Station, 98 kilometers from Ganzhou Huangjin Airport, and 23 kilometers from the under-construction Longnan East Station of the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway. By car, visitors can reach the scenic area directly via the Ganzhou Ring Expressway, Da-Guang Expressway, Longnan Interchange, Beijing-Zhuhai Line, and Rural Road 356.
