Longnan County Museum (Hakka Walled House Museum)

The Longnan County Museum (Hakka Walled House Museum) is located in the northwest area of the county’s Cultural and Art Center. It covers an area of 1,859 square meters, with an exhibition hall space of over 2,400 square meters. With a total investment of more than 40 million yuan, it was completed in April 2018 and officially opened to the public for free on May 16. The museum has two floors and houses four themed exhibition halls in sequence: the History Hall, the Walled House Hall, the Crafts Hall, and the Folklore Hall. It displays over 120 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics, 2 topographic sand tables, 14 folk custom scenes, and 26 scaled-down models of walled houses. The exhibits also incorporate various high-tech display methods such as holographic imaging, 3D imaging, and VR experiences. The exhibition content is rich, combining fun and educational value.
