Yuzaitan Wei, also known as the "Hakka Wine Castle," is located in Yuzaitan, Xinli Village, Liren Town, Longnan County, Ganzhou City, about 10 kilometers from the county seat. The village currently has 28 households of two surnames, Li and Li, with a population of 153. It is an original ecological ancient village nestled against mountains and by the water, boasting a history of over 300 years. Yuzaitan Wei is the most well-preserved example of Hakka enclosed houses in Longnan in terms of landscape layout.

Built during the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty, Yuzaitan Wei has a history of nearly 200 years. It was constructed by Li Yude, the 18th-generation descendant of Suyuan Wei, who became wealthy through the Hakka wine-making business. Hence, Yuzaitan Wei has been known since ancient times as the "Hakka Wine Castle." The enclosure is 55 meters long from north to south and 45 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of 2,475 square meters. Inside the walls are three-story residential buildings, with a total of 126 housing units, along with four watchtowers. The perimeter walls are dotted with gun ports, and the compound once stored enough grain and rice wine to sustain residents for three months—making it a typical defensive-style Hakka enclosed house.
