Tianxinwei

Tianxinwei is a cultural heritage protection unit of Longnan City.

Tianxinwei is located in Daba Village, Wudang Town, Longnan County. Built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it features an overall structure that is low in the front and high in the back, front square and rear round. Yangtaiwei is the Hakka walled village with the most rooms, totaling over 600. At the center of the walled village is a three-courtyard ancestral hall, surrounded by three layers of enclosed houses, with corner bastions on the front facade. In addition to the central main gate, there are side gates on both wings, designed in the style of watchtowers, also serving as gun towers for the walled village. In front of the gates are open courtyards and semicircular ponds. The entire walled village has two stories, with exterior walls constructed from cobblestones and lime concrete, while interior walls are mostly made of adobe bricks. The interior is paved with natural cobblestones. Tianxinwei is the oldest large village walled complex in the area, covering a construction area of over 10,000 square meters. At its peak, it housed more than 900 residents, making it the earliest-built, largest in area, and most populous enclosed-style walled village still existing in southern Jiangxi. It holds significant physical reference value for the study of the early architectural forms of southern Jiangxi walled villages and their evolution. In 2005, the Ganzhou Municipal People's Government listed it in the first batch of municipal immovable cultural heritage protection inventories. In 2008, it was designated as part of the second batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units by the Longnan County People's Government. Currently, the walled village suffers from severe issues such as leaking roofs, collapsed beams, and chaotic illegal constructions, urgently requiring comprehensive repair and preservation.

Daba Village: Daba Village in Wudang Town is a provincially designated poverty-stricken village, bordering Nanhuang Township and Jiahu Township. It is the largest administrative village in Wudang Town, formed by merging the former Daba Village, Hekou Village, Luotang Village, and Sanlian Village. The village comprises 26 natural villages and 26 villager groups, with a total of 1,235 households, including 1,173 agricultural households. The total population is 5,674, of which 5,603 are agricultural residents, 71 are urban residents, 1,668 are migrant workers, 2 households (2 people) are under the Five Guarantees Program, 60 households (224 people) are under the Minimum Living Standard Guarantee, 27 are facing family planning difficulties, and 7 are entitled to preferential treatment...
