Longguangwei is located in Xiazuo Pit, Qingyuan Village, Taojiang Township, Longnan County. This enclosed compound is a premium walled house that integrates residence, fortress, and ancestral hall, featuring clear functional zoning. It was first built in the 15th year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1835), faces east, and has a square layout measuring 52.6 meters in length and 47.7 meters in width, covering an area of 2,509 square meters. The surrounding wall stands 6 meters high with walls 0.8 meters thick. Both the outer walls and watchtowers of the walled house are constructed from rammed slate strips—a remarkably sturdy building method rarely seen among Hakka residential compounds, giving it significant architectural value. In 1992, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site by the People’s Government of Longnan County. In 2012, it was listed as a sixth batch provincial-level cultural heritage site by the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province.
