Former Site of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Chinese Soviet Republic

The Former Site of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Chinese Soviet Republic is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.

The Former Site of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Chinese Soviet Republic is located in Wushilong Village, Shazhouba, west of Ruijin City. Originally a private ancestral hall of the Yang family, it was designated as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level in 1996.

The Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Chinese Soviet Republic (abbreviated as the Central Military Commission) was proclaimed in Ruijin’s Yeping on November 25, 1931. Zhu De served as chairman, with Wang Jiaxiang and Peng Dehuai as vice-chairmen. The Central Military Commission successively established a General Staff Department (later renamed the General Headquarters), a General Political Department, a Local Work Department, an Armed Mobilization Department (later renamed the General Armed Mobilization Department), a General Manager Department (later renamed the General Supply Department), a General Station Department (later renamed the General Transport and Station Department), a General Medical Department (later renamed the General Health Department), a Political Security Bureau, as well as offices such as the Secretariat, the Relief Committee, and the Central Military and Political School. The General Staff Department included Bureaus One through Six.

In May 2013, the State Council (State Council Document [2013] No. 13) listed the Former Site of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Chinese Soviet Republic as part of the seventh group of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.
