Luofeng Mountain Temple is located in Luoshi Village, 7 kilometers south of the town government. The area is shaded by lush trees and fragrant with fruit trees, attracting visitors from all directions, especially during the lively August of the lunar calendar.

Luofeng Mountain Temple was built in 1991 on the upper right side of the “Old Temple Site” at the foot of the western slope of Luofeng Mountain. According to folklore, there used to be an expansive temple complex dating back to the early Ming Dynasty, known as the “Luofeng Three Treasures Hall.” It housed many monks and nuns, with incense burning year-round and worshippers coming in an endless stream, but it was later destroyed during the Qing Dynasty. To this day, the foundations of buildings, as well as remnants of pottery bowls, dishes, and tiles, can still be found. Locals in the villages below still refer to the site as the “Old Temple Site.”

In the winter of 1991, the “Luofeng Treasure Hall,” along with its kitchen and five living quarters, were completed. Before the Mid-Autumn Festival of 1992, the statue of “Luogong” was created. In 2006, the Guanyin Hall and the King Kṣitigarbha Hall were newly built, and by 2009, golden statues of 54 deities including Guanyin and King Kṣitigarbha were completed. In 2007, a cement road leading directly to the temple was constructed, and in 2011, the open space in front of the treasure hall was extended and hardened, further improving the temple's facilities. Starting with just 50 yuan and a modest, uneven site, years of effort have expanded Luofeng Mountain Temple from its original 300 square meters to 400 square meters today, with assets growing to over 500,000 yuan.

In front of the treasure hall, there are two reservoirs and two stone hills. This is a site with great potential for tourism development, but due to insufficient funding, it has not yet been fully developed. We hope for strong support from benefactors in the community to help transform Luofeng Mountain Temple into a beautiful and impressive ecological scenic area as soon as possible.
