Former Site of the Central Messenger Corps Headquarters

The Former Site of the Central Messenger Corps Headquarters of the Chinese Soviet Republic is located in Laocun Village, Yeping Township, Ruijin City, Jiangxi Province. Built in 1915, it was originally a private residence of the Xie family, constructed with earth and wood, facing southwest and situated to the northeast, with a flush gable roof, covering an area of 112.2 square meters.

The Messenger Corps of the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic was established here at the end of 1931. It was primarily responsible for delivering directives, orders, and resolutions from the central party, government, and military leadership organs, and often helped maintain order during various important events held by the Provisional Central Government. In April 1933, the Messenger Corps of the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic relocated to Shazhoubay for its operations. In 2006, it was listed as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
