Site of the Former Ruijin Guerrilla Base in Tongbo Mountain

The site of the former Ruijin guerrilla base in Tongbo Mountain is located on Tongbo Mountain in Liantang Village, Jiubao Town, Ruijin City. Originally built during the Sui and Tang dynasties, it has undergone dozens of renovations over the years. The structure faces 10 degrees northeast and features a south-facing orientation. It is a brick-and-wood row house with a flush gable roof, covering an area of 312.05 square meters.

After the main force of the Red Army began the Long March in October 1934, the reactionary Kuomintang swiftly took control of Ruijin and carried out brutal massacres. To continue the struggle, protect the people, and fight the enemy, the people of Ruijin, under the leadership of the Central Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party and the Ruijin County Committee, established the Ruijin Guerrilla Unit and the Guerrilla Command. Most of them were stationed around Tongbo Mountain in Jiubao. In February 1935, after the Central Bureau and the Central Government Office relocated, the enemy situation in the Tongbo Mountain area grew increasingly severe, prompting the guerrillas to move toward Simaoping in Ruijin. Following the Simaoping meeting in May, due to decentralized operations, two small guerrilla squads returned to carry out activities in Tongbo Mountain.
