Former Site of the Workers' Congress of Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces

The site of the Workers' Congress of Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces is located on Huangjiashan in Yeping Village, Yeping Township, Ruijin City, Jiangxi Province. Originally the ancestral hall of the Zhong family, it has a history of over a hundred years. Constructed with brick and wood, it faces south and features a flush gable roof, two halls and one central courtyard, with a square caisson ceiling above and an octagonal caisson in the lower hall. It covers an area of 217.32 square meters.

From February 7 to 13, 1932, the Executive Bureau of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions in the Soviet Area held the Workers' Congress of Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces here, with a total of 250 delegates attending. Chen Shouchang delivered the opening speech, and Zhou Enlai spoke on behalf of the Central Committee. The main agenda included listening to and discussing the organization, tasks, and struggle programs of workers’ and farm laborers’ unions, as well as addressing issues of unemployment and the establishment of cooperatives. The convening of the Workers' Congress of Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces further promoted the development of the labor movement in the Central Soviet Area.
