The Former Site of Mao Zedong’s Symposium with District Leaders on Spring Plowing Production in Wuyang is located at Weixiajiao, Wuyang Village, Wuyang Town, Ruijin City, dating back to 1933. In March 2018, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units in Jiangxi Province.

Wuyang Village: Wuyang Village is situated in the southwest of Ruijin City, approximately 16 kilometers from the city center. The village comprises 19 groups, with a population of 3,106 and 47 Party members. The main agricultural activity is rice cultivation, along with 2,100 acres of navel orange development. Several navel orange processing enterprises, including “Ganfoda” and “Lüerkang,” have established operations here. It is the site of the First Bridge of the Long March and the former location of the “Spring Plowing Production Conference Flag Awarding Ceremony.”

Wuyangwei is a natural village within Wuyang Village. During the Yuan Dynasty, Zou Ruibin (Fan Yang Gong) built an enclosure behind the Wukao Examination Ground, which later took the character “Wu” from Wukao and “Yang” from Fan Yang Gong to form the name Wuyangwei.
