Former Site of the General Treasury

The Former Site of the General Treasury of the Chinese Soviet Republic in Yeping is located in Laocun Village, Yeping Township, Ruijin City, Jiangxi Province. Originally a civilian residence, it was built in 1910 with a timber-framed earth structure, featuring a flush gable roof and oriented southwest to northeast, covering an area of 27.37 square meters.

In January 1933, the General Treasury of the Chinese Soviet Republic was established here under the management of the Central Finance Department. Mao Zemin, president of the State Bank, also served as its director. The treasury included departments such as accounting, cashier, and auditing, and was responsible for the receipt, payment, and safekeeping of state funds. It also established and improved systems for budgeting, final accounts, treasury operations, and auditing. In 2006, it was listed as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.
